Ready for a career working from home?

Hi! If you've been following my posts, you know i've been persuading you readers to try the VA (virtual assistant) experience. Read it here again. If it appeals to you, you need to read this.

First up: Who CAN work from home?
  • Mothers (Moms) or even stay-at-home Dads who may have some spare time (some employers look for part-time VAs)
  • Office workers who may still have energy and focus during night time or weekends
  • Out of school youth
  • Out of work individuals
  • High School or College students who are internet savvy (employers love them)

And who CANNOT?
  • Individuals who have zero knowledge in computers / internet
  • Individuals who are not open to change
  • People who do not have spare time

Now, here are essential tips:

  • Make sure your online profile (resume) and application forms are attractive; Sell yourself.
  • Avoid scams - If your prospect employer asks for money or output first, it's a scam.
  • Negotiate - Talk to your prospect employer; Try your best to have your employer agree to the best deal for you.
  • Be responsible VAs- Once hired, do your best to deliver results.

Information is key! Open your eyes to the changing world, people. It is now the age non-traditional jobs. Try it and forever change the way you think about work.

To those who can't right now, i have to ask you to consider it in the near future. This is the next best thing. Ride the way, people..

And to those who are not yet internet savvy, lessons / tutorials are all around you. Educate yourself. You need not finish a degree, just take necessary lessons. Be bold. In a few short months, you will be ready to become a VA.

One step at a time, people. That's how you do it. Good luck!
